I have commented to more than one person that no one talks about the weather here because it's so consistent. Most of the year it is sunny and dry. During the rainy season in the summer months it supposedly rains like clockwork from 8pm until 4 am. Well, currently it has rained for more than 24 hours straight and people are talking about it. I've been taking full advantage of it, it's a nice go-to topic when your language skills are limited. I even threw in a reference to "El Nino". The person I was talking to had no idea what I was referring to. Remember when the El Nino effect hit the mainstream and everybody attributed any change in weather to it?"El Nino....Spanish for The Nino" - Chris Farley (I think)
